Is a member of the Pet Professional Guild Australia (PPGA), Association of Pet Dog Trainers Austalia (APDT) and Australian Canine Scent Work (ACSW).    

Amanda also volunteers her time instructing at a force-free training school as well as mentoring and assisting others instruct their classes. She shares her home with her two much loved Rough Coat Collies and a very caring and supportive husband. As a family they enjoy accompanying their collies on  beach walks, camping, wineries, training classes and Nosework
Amanda is a professional dog trainer in Port Adelaide area.  Her approach to dog training is based on the belief that the relationship between humans and their dogs should be truly mutually enjoyable, based on trust, which enhances each others equality of life.

As a humane, positive reinforcement trainer and behaviour consultan her training techniques are based on proven scientific principles and research.  These techniques she beleives achieve lasting results and strengthens the bond between dogs and their humans. The aim of her training is to use clear and effective communication to teach you to bring out the best qualities in your dog, build trust and with gentle guidance turn mistakes into successes.

Amanda is a strong opponent of all aversive, pain-inducing, intimidating and dominance based training methods.

At present Amanda is an Associate K9 Nose Work® Instructor and a participant in the K9 Nose Work® Certification program with the National Association Canine Scent Work (NACSW™).

Having attained a Diploma Canine Behavioural Science and Technology (DipCBST) with Companion Sciences Institute (CASI), a Diploma Canine Behavioural Consultant (DN-DBC) with DogNostics Career Centre and completed the Puppy Start Right Instructors Course with the Karen Pryor Academy, she continues her studies attending conferences, courses, webinars and extensive reading.

Noses In Motion
Amanda realised the many benefits that Nosework has to offer our companion dogs, so in 2017 she established her business ​​​​Noses In Motion, Scenting Towards Confidence.  With her classes she will introduce dogs and their guardians to Nosework.  She will develop classes for those who want an ongoing activity to do with their dog, as well as new classes for those handler and dog teams who want to refine their skill to enter into the Sport of Nosework
